There is some great pros for this park. It is a beautiful wooded park. The sites are the largest I've ever seen. You hardly knew you had neighbors. The lake is beautiful. I would suggest having a boat or other watercraft, or, the amenities for teenagers are limited. They have a nice water slide area, but, is more for the younger set mostly. My teenagers got a little bored with it. The town of Wiggins is very close, so, in case you need any supplies, it's an easy trek. The only major con is the ants. They've been mentioned in other reviews. Luckily, they are not fire ants and don't biter, but, they are everywhere. They're really a nuisance. Overall a very nice park and might consider going back.

This park should be fantastic with it's location on the Styx River. It has recently been purchased by a company that is selling memberships. They are promising many improvements. The problem is there "sales" techniques sucker you into a 2 hour presentation with the promise of a free night's stay. They don't tell you that you have to buy the $7000 membership to get the free night. Personally, I had better things to do with my time off than listen to a bunch of promises. It's a typical scam, bait and switch operation that give the whole industry a bad name. There's quite a few other campgrounds in the immediate area. Don't fall for this old routine.
